Chaudhary Foundation in partnership with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Jaipur Foot is providing rehabilitation for disabled people by providing artificial limbs, calipers and other aides and appliances free of charge.

The MoU has been signed between Chaudhary Foundation and Jaipur Foot on March 7th at the inauguration ceremony of Shaswat Dham to provide artificial limbs and distribute among people with physical disability without legs. The MoU was signed by the chairman of CG Mr. Binod K Chaudhary and the founder of Jaipur Foot Dr. D R Mehta. Jaipur Foot will provide material and equipment to produce 300 limbs per year. Chaudhary foundation will produce those limbs and help assembling these limbs to people. Jaipur Foot is a recognized organization worldwide helping more than 1.5 million people by providing cost effective artificial limbs. Chaudhary Foundation believes that helping people with such physical disability in joint hand with Jaipur Foot will enhance people in inclusive education, economic inclusion, Governance, accessibility, social inclusion and accessibility in emergencies.

According to the CBS of Nepal 1.94% 513,321 population of total population has some sort of disability. In which 36.3% of people constitutes for physical disability. Marginalized groups, people with low income and people living with economic depravity will be given special preferences. Chaudhary Foundation’s objective is to reach out to all those people who are in need of such limbs. The cost of limbs ranges from Rs 20,000 to 1 Lakh NRS. It will be really a life changing moment for many such people who were not able to afford one of these limns or who were not informed about such privileges exist and they can walk again like normal people. It is our belief that people with disabilities should have equal access to right, opportunities and services and be protected from discrimination, neglect and abuse.
